Tim Pope

Owner

Tim Pope is the Owner of Pope Insurance, bringing years of hands-on experience across multiple lines of insurance since 2018. After working in the industry and gaining deep insight into its challenges, Tim knew he wanted to build something different—something personal. Fueled by his passion for helping others and connecting with people, he launched his own agency to put relationships and local expertise at the forefront.

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Tim built a team rooted in the local community—because when it comes to insurance, where you live matters. He takes pride in matching each client with the right carrier based not just on their city, but on the unique parameters of their exact location—recognizing how those ever-changing details can impact coverage and cost.

Outside the office, Tim enjoys life outdoors and cherishing time with his wife Kalyn and their beautiful daughter, Hampton. Whether he’s hunting, surfing, or simply soaking up nature, he brings the same energy and dedication to life as he does to serving his clients.

Will Brewer

Regional Sales Manager & Licensed Insurance Agent

Will Brewer is a Regional Sales Manager and Licensed Insurance Agent proudly serving the Virginia Beach community. A graduate of Cox High School and Old Dominion University, Will brings local knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and families find the right coverage.

With a strong background in sales and client service, Will is known for his approachable style and dedication to building trusted relationships. Whether you're exploring new policy options or need guidance navigating coverage, he's here to support you every step of the way.

Outside the office, you’ll likely find Will enjoying time on the water—fishing and making the most of coastal living.

Taylor McNeill

Office Manager

Taylor McNeill is the welcoming heart of our office and the warm voice you hear when you call Pope Insurance. Originally from Austin, Texas, Taylor recently joined our team, bringing with her a natural creativity, an artistic spirit, and a genuine passion for helping people feel cared for from the very first conversation.

Before transitioning into the insurance world, Taylor spent 11 years as a dedicated veterinary technician—an experience that reflects her compassion, attention to detail, and calm presence in moments that matter most. Outside the office, she enjoys a wide range of creative hobbies and spends her time with her two young children, her rabbit, Canolli, and her French bulldog, Zuri. Born on Christmas Day, Taylor carries a warmth and joy that perfectly reflects the welcoming experience we strive to create for every client who walks through our doors or calls our team.

Karly Caton

Brand & Marketing Strategist (External)

Based in Virginia Beach, Karly Caton is a creative marketing strategist with a passion for helping local businesses grow and thrive. As the founder of KC Creative, she partners with brands like Pope Insurance to deliver customized marketing solutions that reflect their unique values, voice, and community connection. With a background in branding, digital marketing, and content strategy, Karly brings a thoughtful and results-driven approach to every project.

When she’s not building campaigns or crafting brand stories, you’ll find her exploring the North End with her Labrador, Dutch.
